|  Ranger 300X Data Collectors
The Spectra Precision Ranger™ data collector from Tripod Data Systems™ features the Windows
Mobile® 5.0 operating system, an ergonomic keypad and military-grade durability.
Wireless capabilities let you connect without cables. The Ranger comes in two
models: the 300X and the powerful 500X. The Ranger 300X has a 312 MHz processor
with 64MB of SDRAM and 256 MB of on-board Flash and integrated Bluetooth, while
the Ranger 500X has a 520 MHz processor with 128 MB of SDRAM and 512 MB of
on-board Flash and integrated Bluetooth. The Ranger also gives you the option
for integrated 802.11 wireless on the 500X. Also, the Ranger has USB host and
client ports. CompactFlash (CF) and Secure Digital (SD) slots let you add
multiple accessories and increase data storage. You can use the Ranger’s two CF
slots to add GPS, GPRS, bar code scanners and other CF devices. Optional CF-Caps
accommodate larger devices.Standard accessories include:

Software available on the Ranger is Basic GPS, Survey Standard, Survey Pro,
Survey Pro Robotics, Survey Pro GPS or Survey Pro Max. Extended warranty
available; Basic GPS is a new option for a RTK GPS only data collection
application in the Survey Pro family of products. It is designed specifically
for the EPOCH 25 RTK system. Workflows are streamlined and many of the setup
functions are automated. Basic GPS is perfect for customers who are new to RTK
surveying. Basic GPS can also be added to Survey Standard or Survey Pro as an
additional module.
The Ranger PDLRXO receive-only radio is for use with RTK systems and provides
connectivity to Pacific Crest and select Trimble radios at the base. The radios
are available at 430-450 MHz (D) or 450-470 MHz (R). Upgrades to existing Ranger
models with Windows Mobile 5.0 can be done, provided the unit is sent to the TDS
Service Dept for installation of the radio. See pricing under Ranger
